NCCCO Crane Certification
Great Lakes Crane Certification fully endorses the national crane operator certification program offered by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).
The NCCCO crane operator certification program is recognized by OSHA as demonstrating that the certified crane operator meets OSHA’s requirements for crane operator proficiency. Federal OSHA regulations require operators operating a crane with a rated capacity of 2 tons or more must be certified by an accredited organization such as the NCCCO.
Accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), The NCCCO crane operator certification program offered by GLCC has proven to be the the best in promoting safe crane operations nationwide.
Written Test
Great Lakes Crane Certification provides preparation courses for the NCCCO written exams in all three mobile crane categories as well as Tower Crane and Rigger 1. We can help you schedule your written exam at a computer based testing facility. With many testing locations in Michigan, we can help you schedule the exam location to fit your needs. GLCC offers in-person classes (participant based) as well as practice tests.
Practical Exam
In our full classes, we have a test course and instructor available for practice prior to your practical exam. We can provide practical exams independently without the written test if desired. We can also administer the practical exam with or without prior instructed practice. Up to an hour of practice time on our mobile and tower cranes is included. Additional practice time can be purchased.
Crane Inspection
GLCC also offers annual third party crane inspection. With safety being top priority, our certified and experienced team is qualified to inspect your cranes. We can inspect all hydraulic, lattice boom and tower cranes.
Recertification
Need to get recertified? We also provide written test preparation for NCCCO recertification. We can help you schedule your written exam at a computer based testing facility. Great Lakes Crane Certification provides recertification preparation courses for the NCCCO written exams in all three mobile crane categories as well as Tower Crane and Rigger 1.
Included With Full Class:
Five full 8-9 hour days of class time with instructor for mobile cranes
Three full 8-9 hour days of class time with instructor for tower cranes

All NCCCO exam fees
Daily lunch is provided
Practical exam at the end of the week
Scheduled NCCCO written exams are taken at a computer based testing facility
